My grandmother, Alice, was a wonderful writer and poet. My cousin, Erik Rasmussen (son of Lawrence Arthur, my mother's brother) found this poem in a box of clippings and photos.

Not John Deere,

Who sells Purina
By the carload and can?

Who meekly says,
Was it your birthday yesterday dear?
